Avant Brands Inc is an independent healthcare company that manufactures cannabis products.
The company, earlier known as GTEC Holdings, was rebranded to Avant Brands in July 2021. Following this, it got graduated to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) from junior trading platform, TSXV. The trading symbol was changed from ‘GTEC’ to ‘AVNT’.
The British Columbia-based firm operates as a holding company.
The cannabis producer also trades its common shares on the OTCQB Market and Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FRA) under the stock symbols ‘GGTTF’ and ‘1BUP’, respectively.
The Canadian firm cultivates, develops, markets, and distributes quality cannabis products for recreational consumers, medical patients and business-to-business (B2B) under several brands, including blkmkt, Tenzo, GreenTec, etc.
Blkmkt is a high THC strain for smokers, blazers, and connoisseurs.
TENZO brand offers diverse zen-like strains for consumers with a balanced lifestyle.
GreenTec is a medical cannabis that is used for pain relief and several ailments. It is the flagship brand of Avant.
The company is currently working on developing two cannabis products:
• COGNŌSCENTE- for sophisticated consumers
• TREEHUGGER- a premium organic cannabis for earth-conscious consumers.
Health Canada licensed four cultivating and manufacturing facilities of Avant, including three cultivation grounds spanning a total area of roughly thirty-nine thousand square feet, the cannabis firm claims.
Avant Brands Inc operates cannabis retail channels and operations in three provinces of Canada, namely Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia.
The medical cannabis brand, GreenTec is allowed to be marketed and distributed for qualified patients across Canada through an online website and numerous licensed partners, the firm says.
In a press release dated February 2, 2021, the company launched an e-commerce website for its medical cannabis brand GreenTec that would enable Health Canada approved patients to buy cannabis products directly from it.
Furthermore, in March 2021, the company entered into an export agreement with Focus Medical Herbs Ltd, an Israel-based medical cannabis company. As per the agreement, the company is expected to deliver a minimum of 500 kilograms of cannabis products to Israel under a multiple-year agreement reportedly.
The initial shipments would be produced by Grey Bruce Farms, a Tiverton-based 100 per cent owned subsidiary of the company.
