Air Canada (TSX: AC), Canada’s flag carrier, is the country’s largest international and domestic airline. It serves over 210 airports across six continents and more than 50 million customers every year. It is also one of the biggest 20 airlines in the world. Founded in 1937 as ‘Trans-Canada Airlines’ (TCA), the company changed its name to ‘Air Canada’ in 1965 and was fully privatized in 1989. It is one of the founding members of global airline alliance Star Alliance. Air Canada is headquartered in Montreal.
