Torrens Mining Limited (ASX:TRN) is an Australian mineral explorer focused on gold, copper, and cobalt assets. The Company is a new entrant to the official ASX list, with a listing date of 7 January 2021.

Founded in 2014, Torrens has a strong track record of project exploration and development. The Company owns major exploration rights in the Central and Eastern Victorian Goldfields of Australia.

The Company owns and operates the Mt Piper Gold Project in Central Victorian Goldfield. The project area boasts of exciting Fosterville-style gold targets. The project is located 30km south-east of the Fosterville Gold Mine and adjacent to the Costerfield Gold Mine.

Its Club Terrace Copper and Gold Project sits within a fault-controlled gold region in eastern Victoria.

The Company also holds a significant interest of 30% in the Elizabeth Creek Copper-Cobalt Project in South Australia. Apart from these, the Company also holds a 100% interest in the Laloki Project in Papua New Guinea. The Laloki Project hosts VMS style high-grade gold and copper mineralisation.

Torrens is working on a strategy to build a robust exploration and mining business. To achieve its strategic goal, the Company is employing state-of-the-art exploration to unlock the potential of its projects. The diversified mining portfolio provides a unique opportunity to grow shareholders’ value and maximise their returns.

The Company has devised a three-tier strategy to focus on its exploration and development opportunities. The first part of the strategy includes the Elizabeth Creek Project. The Company is engaged in the project through a joint venture with Coda Minerals (ASX:COD). The project is located in close vicinity of Australia’s largest underground project – Olympic Dam. The Elizabeth Creek Project has significant copper-cobalt potential along with IOCG targets.  

The second part of the strategy involves the exploration and development of its fully owned Victorian Goldfield projects. Mt Piper and Club Terrace have strong gold anomalisms.

Torrens’ third part of the strategy involves the commencement of exploration on the high-grade Laloki copper-gold project in PNG. The application for exploration rights and licences are under review by the regulatory authorities.
