On 13th February 2020, the company announced the update from the regional exploration activities of its 100% owned Rio Amarillo Project in northern Ecuador.

The company updated that it has found a cluster of preserved porphyry lithocap zones at Rio Amarillo project.

The latest airborne magnetics survey detected huge target areas spatially similar to four porphyry targets uncovered through geological groundwork.

The Net finance cost decreased to the US $64 million in the half-year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to US $38 million in the half-year ended 31st December 2018. The profit before tax slumped to US $99 million in the half-year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to US $635 million in the half-year ended 31st December 2018.

The basic earnings per share decreased to 2.0 cents in the half-year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to the 12.5 cents in the half-year ended 31st December 2018.

S32 - Stock Price Performance

On 14th February 2020, at around 09:08 AM (GMT), by the time of writing this report, the stock of South32 Ltd was trading at a price of GBX 135.88 per share on the London Stock Exchange, a decrease in the value of around 0.45 per cent or GBX 0.62 per share, as opposed to the closing price of the stock on the previous trading day, which has been reported to be at GBX 136.50 per share.

The company’s net operating income increased to the £19,720 million for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to the £19,668 million for the year ended 31st December 2018.Â

The company’s Litigation and conduct expenses increased to £1,849 million for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to £2,207 million for the year ended 31st December 2018. The company’s total operating expenses increased to £15,434 million for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to £16,243 million for the year ended 31st December 2018.

The company’s profit before tax increased to £4,357 million for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to £3,494 million for the year ended 31st December 2018. The company’s profit after tax increased to the £3,354 million for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to the £2,583 million for the year ended 31st December 2018.

The basic earnings per share increased to 14.3 pence for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to 9.4 pence for the year ended 31st December 2018. The Diluted earnings per share increased to 14.1 pence for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to 9.2 pence for the year ended 31st December 2018.

The dividend per share increased to 7.0 pence per share for the year ended 31st December 2019 as compared to 4.5 pence per share for the year ended 31st December 2018.

BARC - Stock Price Performance

On 14th February 2020, at around 09:13 AM (GMT), by the time of writing this report, the stock of Barclays Plc was trading at a price of GBX 175.88 per share on the London Stock Exchange, a decrease in the value of around 0.04 per cent or GBX 0.44 per share, as opposed to the closing price of the stock on the previous trading day, which has been reported to be at GBX 176.32 per share.
