Highlights
- Canasil has completed and filed the 2025 exploration report for the Lil high-grade silver project, extending all project claims until July 15, 2027.
- Drone-supported reconnaissance identified opportunities for improved access and captured detailed imagery of historical high-grade silver target zones.
- The company is planning a 2026 exploration program focused on defining drill targets and investigating the source of high-grade silver mineralization.
Canasil Resources Inc. (TSX-V:CLZ) (DB Frankfurt:3CC) has advanced exploration efforts at its Lil high-grade silver project in north-central British Columbia after completing and filing its 2025 exploration program report , resulting in the extension of all project claims through July 15, 2027 . The program employed drone-supported reconnaissance to evaluate access infrastructure and capture high-resolution imagery over known mineralized zones and surrounding prospective areas. The findings are expected to support upcoming exploration initiatives.
Drone Survey Provides Insights for Future Exploration
The 2025 exploration program focused on drone-assisted reconnaissance aimed at evaluating the condition of existing logging roads leading to the project and examining potential routes for direct access to previously identified exploration targets. The survey was designed to support future field activities, including drilling.
The high-resolution drone imagery and video delivered detailed coverage of both known target areas and surrounding prospective zones. The collected data is expected to assist in planning upcoming exploration campaigns.
Historic High-Grade Silver Zones Highlighted
The high-resolution drone imagery provided detailed coverage of the Lil Creek channel sample area . The surveyed area includes previously reported high-grade silver mineralization, with historical channel sample results ranging from 148 g/t silver to 11,159 g/t silver over widths of 0.20 metres to 0.90 metres .
Metallurgical Testing Delivers High Recovery Results
Previous metallurgical bench-scale testing conducted by BC Research Inc. of Vancouver demonstrated favourable processing characteristics for mineralization from the project.
Recovery rates increased with finer grinding, while a single bulk concentrate grading between 7% and 10% silver was produced. The study also reported contaminant levels below thresholds. BC Research concluded that high silver recoveries could be achieved using a relatively straightforward processing flow sheet.
2026 Program to Focus on Drill Target Development
Canasil is currently preparing follow-up exploration activities for the summer 2026 field season . Planned work will include additional geochemical sampling around the Lil Creek target area to refine potential drill targets.
The company also intends to investigate the source of the high-grade silver showings and evaluate the potential for concealed mineralized zones beneath overburden cover surrounding Lil Creek and upstream from the historical sampling locations.
With project claims secured through 2027 and new drone-generated data supporting future fieldwork, Canasil Resources is advancing exploration efforts at the Lil high-grade silver project. Upcoming programs will focus on expanding understanding of the mineralized system, refining drill targets, and evaluating the broader exploration potential of the property ahead of future drilling campaigns.
