One of the first and foremost reasons for her having won this title is her swift and efficient dealing with the gruesome pandemic and bringing the numbers under control before any other country in the world. This reflects in the fact that the nation that is 5 million people strong in population has witnessed merely 26 deaths due to the virus. Ardern along with her Cabinet Ministers decided to take 20% pay cut for the last year so as to stand in union with the people who had lost their livelihoods due to the Pandemic.

Dealing meticulously with the Christchurch terror attack that occurred more than two years ago and actually following up with the survivors and forming active committees that helped secure the rights of the immigrants, Ardern had made her mark already.

Another major situation that the Prime Minister has dealt with, with absolute grace and  understanding was the volcanic eruption that had put under threat the lives of several people while killing at least 20.

Her stand on supporting women’s rights for equal pay in their workplaces is another element that led to her being the best of the supreme leaders according to the list.

Gender equity is another topic Ardern has voiced her opinion about while making the necessary provisions for the ones in need.

Last month, she was a part of the conference between world leaders that planned to deal with the climate crisis being faced by the world. She even urged more and more countries to partake in the same.

Many countries have taken New Zealand’s primary example and have made changes in the day they are dealing with COVID-19 crisis. She has set the standards high for world leaders who have been majorly influenced by her presence of mind and ability to make the best out of even the most seemingly complicated situations.

In the list she is head of people such as Malala Yousafzai, Tom Brady, Bill, and Melinda Gates  and so on.
