The crypto world is booming with thousands of cryptocurrencies available in the crypto market, trading 24x7. Given the amount of trading happening around exchanges, any cryptocurrency can make a quick fortune overnight on the back of developments.

This week, DIA, Frontier, and LOOMI made a big splash. Let’s look into them.

DIA (DIA)

Rolled out in 2018, DIA is an open-source oracle platform built on the ERC-20 Ethereum protocol. DIA permits market participants to distribute, supply and source reliable data.

DIA has been designed as an open financial data ecosystem in a financial smart contract ecosystem with an aim to bring together data users/providers/analysts.

DIA operates as a verifiable and trustworthy link between off-chain data from multiple sources and on-chain smart contracts, which may be utilised to construct a wide range of financial DApps.

The total supply of the DIA token is capped at 200 million coins. DIA addresses issues of hard/ unverified/dated to access data in crypto and finance, notably DeFi.

The DIA governance token will be utilised to promote platform development, fund data validation and collection, and vote on governance decisions.

Frontier (FRONT)

This week, Frontier announced a partnership with Crypto India on 25 January, extending the scope of this platform.

Frontier is a decentralised finance (DeFi) aggregator that is chain agnostic. Frontier started the development in April 2019, and the beta platform was introduced in November of that year. Vetrichelvan Jeyapalpandy, Palash Jain and Ravindra Kumar are the project’s co-founders. Kumar is Frontier’s CEO and a THORChain technology advisor. FRONT’s total supply is limited to 100 million tokens.

DeFi functionality will be added to various blockchains, including Harmony, BandChain, Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. Moreover, Frontier provides customers with core features of DeFi, irrespective of the platforms they utilise.

In August 2020, Frontier highlighted that it had secured a seed funding of US$1.85 million from numerous investors.

Their native token, FRONT, was rolled out in September 2020.

There are a total of 12.4 Million LOOMI tokens available. If you want to purchase or sell Loomi, the most active exchange right now is Uniswap (v3).

Bottom Line

There is no doubt that any new cryptocurrency may make a fortune overnight. However, investors should exercise caution before investing in any new project, as many projects are tied to scams, and investors may lose their money.
