The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the most influential technology events globally, is held every year in Las Vegas.

Beginning on Wednesday, January 5, the tech event will last till Saturday, January 8. At CES, companies will showcase their upcoming products across categories like laptops, televisions, wearables, and transport, among other things.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many companies will not attend the event. However, several exhibitors will participate in the event, including Canadian companies.

Let's look at two publicly traded Canadian companies which will participate at CES 2022 and whether you should invest in them:

Hapbee Technologies Inc. (TSXV:HAPB)

Vancouver-based Hapbee Technologies is a company involved in manufacturing and selling wearable fitness products.

On December 8, 2021, Hapbee announced that it would showcase its upcoming devices at CES that will be launched in 2022.

Hapbee hopes that attending the CES 2022 will help it expand its retail and dealer network. In addition, the company could secure partnerships to expand its global presence.

Wearable devices have become popular over the years as they help people track their physical activities. Due to the pandemic situation, people are more health-conscious, and companies in the fitness and healthcare industry could benefit from this trend.

For the nine months ended September 31, 2021, Hapbee had cash of US$ 825,295. Meanwhile, for the three months ended September 31, 2021, the revenue increased to US$ 231,876 from US$ 113,062 in the same comparable period.

Atmofizer Technologies Inc. (CSE:ATMO)

Ontario-based Atmofizer Technologies deals in making products for air purification. The company's ATMOFIZER ONE product can purify indoor air in personal spaces and reduce concentrations of viruses and bacteria.

Atmofizer's products look promising as the lethal coronavirus is an air-borne disease, and people could look at exploring products that claim to reduce virus concentration.

At CES 2022, the company is expected to exhibit a product that can encourage companies to bring their staff back to work.
