Graphite One Inc. (TSXV:GPH) (OTCQX:GPHOF) is advancing efforts to build a domestic U.S. battery materials supply chain as North America continues prioritizing localized sources of critical minerals and graphite processing capacity. The company’s latest milestone — securing a new Ohio site for its proposed Active Anode Materials facility — led to a 2.65% rise in its stock price to CAD 1.16, on May 19, 2026.
The new site is located in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio, and was secured through a license of occupation agreement with Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company, a subsidiary of Canadian National Railway (CN).
The location provides strategic logistical advantages, including direct access to Lake Erie and the Great Lakes shipping corridor, multi-line rail connectivity through CN, existing power infrastructure including an on-site substation, and future expansion capacity.
Chief Operating Officer Mike Schaffner said the site offers the infrastructure, logistics access, and scalability needed to support future production growth and material transportation requirements.
