Eleven issuers debuted on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) in November 2020, including five exchange traded funds (ETFs), four companies and two closed-end funds. The number of issuers is up from 13 a month ago and 16 in November 2019.
The financings went up by 681 per cent year-over-year (YoY) in November 2019. The total number of financings stood at 39.
Four issuers debuted on the TSX Venture (TSXV) in November, down from eight in October. The total financings raised in November declined by 36 per cent month-on-month, but up 81 YoY.
A total number of 1,643 issuers are listed on the TSX while 1,900 are listed on the TSXV.

- High Tide Inc. (HITI)

IPOs in November
The TSX witnessed seven initial public offerings (IPOs), raising C$ 117.95 million in November. However, the number of IPOs on the TSXV declined by 46 per cent YoY to 34 in the same period.

Trading Statistics
The overall TMX group registered 15.39 billion trading volume in the month of November 2020, for a total value of C$ 231.28 billion. This is up from 12.5 billion trading volume October 2020 worth C$ $176.6 billion and 10 billion in November 2019 worth C$ 147.47 billion.
In 2020 So far, the TMX group registered nearly 168.7 billion trading volume, up 39.4 per cent YoY, for the total value of C$ 2289.97 billion.
The TMX Group is the parent firm of marketplaces TSX, TSXV, TSX Alpha Exchange and Montréal Exchange.

The TSXV recently tweaked its Capital Pool Company (CPC) program, which accounts for almost 50 per cent of new listings on the exchange in the last decade.
As per the new changes, which will take effect on January 1, 2021, the CPC program will allow increased flexibility, reduce regulatory burden such as shareholder distribution and approval, etc.
