Exploration and resources development company, Podium Minerals Limited (ASX:POD) has unique geology, secure tenure and focused strategy on platinum group metals, Au and Ni-Cu sulphides and has key projects located within the granted mining leases in the Mid-West Region of WA. To date POD has announced Mineral Resources containing 1.14m oz of platinum, palladium and gold plus 37,300 tonnes of copper within 100m of surface from only 25% of the exploration target envelop, and a substantial exploration target over the full 15km strike length.

POD Board and Management

 

 

POD appointed Mr Dodd as a Director on 26 October 2009 and as its Executive Chairman on 26th march 2020 as part of the company’s restructure .

As a Chartered Accountant, Mr Dodd has a wealth of experience in resources and finance with over 35 years of experience working across countries like Australia, South America as well as South Africa.

Moreover, over his extensively deep career, Mr Dodd has held directorships with public listed companies on the JSE, TSX, AIM, and ASX markets. Mr Dodd has no other public company directorships currently and is a substantial shareholder of the company.

 



Russell Thomson is a Certified Practising Accountant with over 30 years’ experience, Mr Thomson was appointed as a Director of POD on 20 October 2009 and Chief Financial Officer of the Company on 1 January 2016.

Mr Thompson carries extensive experience in the construction, engineering, railway, power generation, biofuels, and mining industries across multiple countries, including Australia, South Africa, Asia and the USA.

 

 

Roberto Castro was appointed as the Director of the Company on 17 December 2015, Mr Castro is a Geneva-based financial consultant and has been working in commodities trade finance since 1988 and has brought a wealth of international experience to POD.

Mr Castro began his career working for trading companies prior to joining BNP Paribas in Geneva where he was responsible for the financing of a broad portfolio of energy as well as mining trading enterprises and now has over 30 years’ experience in commodities trade finance.

Subsequently, Mr Castro founded Petrosca, where he holds the position of an independent financial consultant and backs commodity traders in a broad array of services.

 

 

Peter Gilmour is a professional process engineer, Mr Gilmour was appointed as the Director of POD on 11 September 2015 and has a depth of experience across multiple countries including Australia, Asia and Africa.

With over 35 years’ experience, Mr Gilmour specialises in commissioning and process start-up of large-scale resource projects which have encompassed copper, uranium, iron ore, lithium, nickel, mineral sands, and alumina projects of significant global resource corporations.

 

 

Tom Stynes is a mechanical engineer, Mr Stynes, holds a masters in mineral economics with over 25 years of experience in the planning and development of mining projects across a range of Australian as well as global projects.

Mr Stynes has previously held engineering and project management roles with EPCM companies involving a range of Australian and global projects as well as senior management roles with Ferrexpo, Xstrata, and Glencore.

 

 

Doug Cook is a geologist and was appointed exploration manager with POD in February 2018. He has more than 30 years of international experience in exploration and development of precious and base metal deposits, including nickel sulphides, gold, and platinum group metals.

In a nutshell, the Board members of POD have high-calibre technical and management skills with robust experience to support POD’s strategies. Moreover, the vast experience of the team, along with the solid background of the Company’s leadership team shall prove to be a critical element for the Company’s success.

On 15 June 2020, the POD stock was trading at a price of $0.018 (AEST: 11;30 AM) with a market capitalisation of $3.68 million.
