Emmerson PLC {LSE:EML} has provided an update on its ongoing discussions with Moroccan authorities concerning the environmental permit for its Khemisset (KMP) fertiliser project. CEO Graham Clarke indicated that the approval process is nearing its conclusion, expressing optimism about a favorable outcome within the current quarter.
The focus of discussions has been to address technical issues that were previously highlighted. Emmerson is committed to implementing optimizations that ensure the Khemisset project aligns with environmental standards. Clarke emphasized the importance of water management in Morocco, particularly in light of recent drought conditions.
