Highlights
- Record Gold Pour: Achieved 522 ounces of gold on 10 February 2025.
- Production Growth: Monthly output has doubled since November 2024, aiming for 1,000 ounces per month.
- Operational Expansion: Advancing new heap leach pads and mining operations in Pit 1 to boost output.
Goldstone Resources Limited (LSE:GRL) has reported a record-breaking gold pour at its Homase Mine in Ghana, marking significant operational progress. On 10 February 2025, the company successfully produced 16.253 kilograms of gold doré, equivalent to 522 ounces of gold—its highest single pour to date.
Operational Ramp-Up
The company has witnessed a steady increase in production, with monthly gold output doubling since November 2024. The average monthly gold pour for 2024 stood at 225 ounces, reflecting ongoing efficiency improvements, particularly in Q4 2024.
Mining and heap leach processing have also scaled up, with 48,000 tonnes of stacked ore per month. While lower-grade ore from Pit 2 has temporarily affected production, operations are set to resume in the higher-grade Pit 1 within a month. Pit 1 is expected to yield 1-1.2 g/t gold, supporting the company’s goal of 1,000 ounces per month.
Expansion and Future Growth
Goldstone is actively expanding its heap leach infrastructure, with work progressing on:
- New lift expansions on heap leach pads 3 and 4.
- Finalizing the extension of Cell 5.
- Civil engineering underway for Cells 6 and 7.
Additionally, preparatory work for Pit 1 expansion has commenced, ensuring continued growth in mining and processing operations throughout 2025.
