Artemis Resources Limited (AIM:ARV) is excited to announce the commencement of an extensive diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its 100% owned Carlow Tenement, located within the highly prospective North Pilbara gold province. The drilling will target high-priority gold exploration targets within a 4km-long zone centered around the Carlow Mineral Resource. This marks a significant step forward in Artemis' exploration efforts to expand its existing gold and copper resource base.
The Carlow Mineral Resource currently stands at 374,000 ounces of gold and 64,000 tonnes of copper, with the deposit remaining open beyond previous drilling. Artemis' drilling program is designed to test the extensions of the Carlow resource and other high-potential exploration targets in the area. The Company is particularly focused on three key target zones in the Carlow Tenement, which it believes could lead to further resource growth and discovery.
Julian Hanna, Managing Director of Artemis Resources, commented on the drilling program’s commencement: “We are thrilled to announce the start of this diamond and RC drilling program which will test three high-potential targets within a 4km long zone centred on our Carlow Mineral Resource. The current inferred Mineral Resource at Carlow contains 374,000oz of gold and 64,000t of copper and remains open beyond previous drilling.”
The diamond drilling will focus on the Marillion EM conductor, situated approximately 500 meters east of the Carlow resource. This conductor is believed to have the potential to extend the Carlow deposit, with the drilling targeting areas down-plunge from previous high-grade gold and copper intersections. If successful, this could significantly expand the size of the Carlow Mineral Resource and further unlock the district's potential.
In addition to diamond drilling, the Company will also be conducting RC drilling at the Titan Prospect, located about 2km northwest of the Carlow resource. The Titan Prospect has already shown encouraging signs, with high-grade gold occurrences identified in selected samples of quartz veins and chert outcrops. Artemis is particularly excited about the potential of this prospect, which may host a new gold discovery, further strengthening its position in the North Pilbara gold province.
Hanna added, “We are excited about the opportunity this drilling presents to expand the Carlow resource and uncover further opportunities across our portfolio. We look forward to updating the market on progress.” Artemis remains committed to advancing its exploration efforts, and the results of this drilling program are expected to provide important insights into the future growth potential of the Carlow Tenement.
Artemis has also provided further details regarding the priority drill targets and other planned activities in the March Quarter, with an announcement released on 28 January 2025. The Company is keen to keep shareholders and the market updated on the progress of these key exploration initiatives as it works to unlock the full value of its North Pilbara gold assets.
