UK stocks were edging higher for the fourth straight day in a row, with major FTSE 100 index advancing 23.57 points or 0.30% to 7,505.14 and the mid-cap index FTSE 250 inching up 67.81 points or 0.31% to 21,586.06, at the time of writing at 02:00 PM GMT, Feb 06th 2020. With the day’s surge (till 02:00 PM GMT), the FTSE 100 index bagged approximately 1.53% in the past five trading sessions, and the FTSE 250 traded approximately 1.20% higher over the same period, respectively.

The FTSE AIM stocks were mirroring the prevailing trend in the UK’s broader markets; the FTSE AIM UK 50 was up 27.14 points or 0.50% to 5,412.14, the FTSE AIM 100 increased by 14 points or 0.28% to 4,936.22 and the FTSE AIM All-Share inched up by approximately 3.0 points or 0.28%.

However, during the Thursday’s trading hours there were specific scrips on the FTSE AIM segment which notably outperformed FTSE AIM Indices in the day trading hours, while there were many who substantially underperformed the broader trend.
