Capita Plc (LON: CPI) bags two-year contract extension with the MoD

Capita Plc (LON:CPI) has been awarded a contract extension with the MoD (Ministry of Defence) to continue to provide the recruitment service for the British Army.

  • The contract extension of two-year will start in March 2022, when the current 10-year contract would end.
  • Under the original contract, the MoD had the option of extending the company’s contract, which has successfully been secured.
  • The contract is worth £140 million, and under the contract, the company will be delivering technology and digital improvements to the recruiting systems and processes. It will also continue to provide existing recruitment services.
  • Chief Executive Officer of Capita, Jon Lewis, commenting of the contract extension stated that as the company continue to transform the business, it marks another important contract renewal for the company this year.
