History

Founded by Gus and Carolyn Trouchet in 1985, this company has been taken ahead by their sons, Luke and Karl. The CEO and Managing Director of the group at present is Mr. Luke Trouchet. In 2001, Luke, with his brother Karl, was appointed CEO and Managing Director, taking over the management of the company that his parents created. It is believed that the visionary mindset of Luke has seen the company make a number of strategic alliances and acquisitions that have produced strong financial results and have taken Apollo forward to becoming one of the Global RV Solution companies. Karl on the other hand who was appointed as an Executive Director and looks after strategy and special projects focusses on executing Apollo?s growth and expansion plans. He has been instrumental in driving new initiatives for the company.

Services and operations

The Australia division offers short-term motorhome lease, produces replacement RVs for the rental fleet, manufactures direct-to-public motorhomes and caravans, and conducts RV sales operations.

The segment of New Zealand provides short-term motorhome hire. It also is a hub for manufacturing rental fleet replacement vehicles, and also aids in carrying out vehicle sales activities to sell ex-rental fleet RVs.

The U.S. division offers short-term motorhome hire and manages RV selling operations through a dealer network to sell ex-rental fleet RVs. It produces branded RV distribution systems for Winnebago and Talvor. The rental brands of StarRV, HIPPIE and Cheapa Campa are among them.

The company provides exceptional 24 hour service on the road in order to ensure their customers are not troubled. They are also known to use sustainable business practices.

With operations in Auckland and Brisbane, it has a production and assembly set up there where it produces and assembles RVs for both rental and retail market. The brand enjoys exclusive rights to import Adria and Winnebago products in New Zealand and Australia. These are high end manufacturers of RVs based in Europe and the US.

The company is now listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX code: ATL) and its core focus is on manufacture and sale along with distribution of a wide range of leisure travel vehicles like the campervans and caravans and other recreational vehicles. Keeping their mission of establishing themselves as a global solution provider for self-driving solo as well as group drivers. Being the well-recognized global recreational vehicle company, it provides a wide range of vehicles under various names. Before getting listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, the company remained family-owned and operated until November 2016. It is still majorly held in the family which continues to invest financially and personally in the business driving it further.
