Clear Blue Technologies International Inc. (TSXV:CBLU), the Smart Power Company, today announced that Hotspot, the leading telecommunications service provider in Nigeria, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a Clear Blue-led consortium. The consortium also includes Empower New Energy and Netis and will work together to deploy 312 solar-powered telecom sites across Nigeria. This deal is subject to final contract negotiations and signatures, with the targeted rollout set for the end of 2025.

This partnership brings together a diverse set of expertise, ensuring the efficient design, construction, and operation of the telecom network, solar power, and tower sites across Nigeria. The consortium’s combined capabilities will ensure rapid execution of the project, enabling the delivery of reliable, low-cost solar power for telecom infrastructure while addressing the growing telecom demands across the country.
- Hotspot: As a leader in building active telecom networks and services across Nigeria, Hotspot will leverage its deep knowledge of the Nigerian telecom landscape to ensure successful site deployment and operational success.
