Highlights
Jaguar plans approximately 222,000 meters of drilling from 2026–2030 to grow its gold resources across all Brazilian tenements.
Total potential gold endowment across all projects estimated at 4–7 million ounces.
Exploration targets include the Paciência, Caeté, MTL, and Onças de Pitangui complexes with high upside potential.
Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSX:JAG) has unveiled a detailed five-year exploration plan aimed at expanding its gold resources and supporting future production growth. Covering the company’s entire 46,619-hectare portfolio of mineral tenements in Brazil, the plan is designed to systematically advance existing deposits and identify new prospective targets.
The initiative is structured to prioritize the most promising areas, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maximizing the potential for new discoveries and resource growth.
Drilling Campaign and Gold Potential
Between 2026 and 2030, Jaguar intends to execute an extensive drilling program totaling approximately 222,000 meters. This campaign is expected to advance the company’s inferred resources across its key project areas.
The plan targets a total potential gold endowment of 4–7 million ounces across all projects, highlighting the scale of opportunity within Jaguar’s land package.
Focus on Key Projects
The exploration program emphasizes targeted work across several priority complexes:
-
Paciência Complex: Drilling will focus on extending mineralization at Santa Isabel, Marzagão (underground), and Chamé, while testing deeper extensions and new discoveries including Bahú and BIF North. The Chamé project carries an estimated upside potential of 325,000–520,000 ounces, supported by 6,175 meters of drilling beginning in 2025.
-
Caeté Complex – Roça Grande Project: Work will focus on Boa Vista and Morro da Mina, complemented by regional reconnaissance at Sabará Extension, Lavra Velha, and Zé Firme.
-
MTL Complex: Drilling at the Pontal project will evaluate all opportunities within the area, with estimated upside of 134,000–400,000 ounces from approximately 11,000 meters of drilling.
-
Onças de Pitangui Project: Exploration will include infill drilling and exploration at Aparição, Caldas, and Taboca targets to support overall resource growth.
Systematic Approach and Environmental Commitment
Jaguar’s plan emphasizes a structured and methodical exploration approach, incorporating detailed geological mapping, geochemical surveys, and integrated data systems. Advanced exploration technologies and a dedicated team of experienced geologists are central to achieving consistent and measurable results.
Environmental compliance is a core focus, with all activities aligned with ongoing licensing processes, including Simplified Environmental Licensing (LAS) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies, reflecting the company’s commitment to responsible mining practices.
