Highlights:

  • Nevada King Gold Corp. expands its exploration at the Atlanta Gold Mine Project in Nevada.
  • Phase III drilling focuses on the newly discovered Wild West Target with encouraging gold intercepts.
  • Deeper drilling planned to explore further mineralization west of current findings.

Nevada King Gold Corp. (TSXV:NKG) operates in the precious metals sector, focusing on gold exploration and development in Nevada. The company has recently launched its Phase III drilling program at the Atlanta Gold Mine Project, located along the Battle Mountain Trend, northeast of Las Vegas. The project covers over 5,000 hectares and has been the site of several significant gold discoveries. Nevada King continues to explore new areas, including the Wild West Target, a promising zone of high-grade gold mineralization.

Phase III Drilling Program Overview

The company's Phase III drill program involves the use of a reverse-circulation drill to investigate the Wild West Target, discovered earlier in 2024. This phase of exploration aims to expand knowledge of the mineralized area within the Atlanta Gold Mine Project. A recent drill hole, AT24WS-84, located in the Wild West Zone, yielded encouraging results, with a high-grade gold intercept of 4.32 g/t gold over a 9.1-meter interval.

AT24WS-84 marks the furthest western extension of the high-grade gold mineralization within the Wild West Zone. Although the hole bottomed in mineralization before reaching its full depth, it confirmed the presence of significant gold deposits, suggesting that further exploration in this area is warranted.

Wild West Zone Exploration Details

The Wild West Zone has been a focal point for Nevada King's exploration efforts, with several drill holes revealing valuable gold intercepts. AT24WS-83, an earlier drill hole in the same zone, returned even more substantial results, including 6.98 g/t gold over a 22.9-meter interval. The mineralization appears to occur in distinct zones, with the upper zone containing a 7.6-meter intercept of 2.80 g/t gold, and the lower zone holding thicker, high-grade deposits.

The mineralization discovered so far is concentrated along a sub-horizontal horizon, with true thickness estimates ranging between 85% and 95%. The drilling has revealed both upper and lower high-grade zones, with mineralized rock extending to the maximum depth capabilities of the current drill rigs.

Further Exploration and Expansion Plans

Nevada King plans to mobilize a Schramm 685 drill rig, which has greater depth capabilities, to extend the exploration further westward. This deeper drilling will aim to uncover additional mineralized zones beyond the current limits of the Wild West Target. Eleven new drill pads have been prepared, and the company intends to test mineralization extending 500 meters west of the current drilled extent.

The Wild West Target currently spans approximately 500 meters in length and 200 meters in width, with open potential for expansion. The presence of high-grade mineralization west of the previously defined Atlanta Resource Zone suggests that there may be additional untapped gold deposits in this region.

As exploration continues, Nevada King aims to build on the success of its Phase III drilling program, particularly within the Wild West Zone.
