Highlights

  • Apex Critical Metals has acquired the Bianco Carbonatite Project in north-western Ontario, expanding its portfolio.
  • The project, covering a large carbonatite complex, is situated in a region known for niobium mineralisation.
  • The Bianco Carbonatite Project is strategically located near historical results indicative of significant mineral deposits.

Apex Critical Metals (TSXV:APX) has completed the acquisition of the Bianco Carbonatite Project, located in north-western Ontario near the Big Beaver House community. This project encompasses a significant carbonatite complex with limited historical exploration. The area is characterised by a geophysical magnetic anomaly consistent with other carbonatite formations in the region.

The project’s strategic location, approximately south-west of the Kingfisher Lake First Nation and north of Pickle Lake, enhances its appeal. Covering a total area of 3,735 hectares, the Bianco Carbonatite Project includes 85 single cell mining claims.

Geological Context and Mineralisation

The Bianco Carbonatite Project was initially identified during an Ontario Geological Survey conducted several decades ago. The surrounding region is renowned for niobium mineralisation, with the project itself strategically located between the Big Beaver House and Schryburt Lake Carbonatite projects. Both sites have yielded historical results suggestive of mineral deposits, including niobium pentoxide from sampling activities.

The project benefits from its proximity to historical results, which highlight its potential for mineral development. These results include niobium pentoxide assays from nearby properties, underscoring the geological significance of the area.

Transaction Details and Strategic Importance

The acquisition agreement grants Apex Critical Metals full ownership of the claims. A net smelter returns royalty of 2% will be allocated to the vendor upon commencement of commercial production.

By adding the Bianco Carbonatite Project to its portfolio, Apex Critical Metals is strategically positioning itself to explore valuable mineral systems. The focus on carbonatite complexes aligns with the growing demand for minerals essential to industries such as clean energy and advanced technologies.

This development underscores Apex Critical Metals' dedication to leveraging strategic acquisitions to support its operational goals while contributing to the exploration of valuable resources in Ontario.
