Auric Minerals Corp. (CSE:AUMC) is excited to announce the successful completion of its 2024 exploration fieldwork program (the "Program") on the Goodeye Property, located in British Columbia, Canada. This program marked a significant milestone in advancing exploration efforts at the property and included a comprehensive range of geological activities such as ground prospecting, soil and stream sediment sampling, rock chip sampling, and ground geophysical surveys.
The fieldwork focused on gathering essential data that will guide future exploration, with results being integral to identifying potential mineralization and determining the property's viability. The Program comprised several key activities:
Ground Geophysical Surveys
The Company successfully completed 14 ground geophysical survey lines, including both magnetic (Mag) and Very Low Frequency (VLF) surveys, covering 6.1 line-kilometers of data. The surveys were strategically conducted across the property, with eight 500-meter lines along the Wanita Thrust fault in a north-south direction and six 350-meter lines extending further north in the western part of the property. These geophysical surveys will provide valuable insight into the subsurface geology, helping to prioritize targets for future drilling programs.
Soil and Stream Sediment Sampling
The Program also included a thorough collection of soil and stream sediment samples from both the eastern and western portions of the property. A total of 46 soil samples were collected, and two stream sediment samples were gathered near the Wanita Thrust fault zone. These samples will be analyzed for geochemical signatures, which are crucial for identifying areas with potential for mineral deposits.
Rock Sampling
Auric’s exploration team collected 16 rock samples, including six samples from the Violin Lake Fault area, which is one of the key regions of interest on the property. Quartz veins were targeted for sampling, as these structures are commonly associated with mineralization. The rock samples will be analyzed to determine their mineral content and provide further insight into the geological characteristics of the Goodeye Property.
Winter Fieldwork Conditions
The 2024 fieldwork program took place during winter, a season that presented challenges due to snow coverage and limited rock exposure. However, the reduced vegetation cover allowed for more efficient soil, stream sediment, and geophysical surveys. The field conditions enabled the team to gather valuable data despite the difficulties posed by the season. Additionally, 10% of the samples collected were field duplicates to ensure data accuracy. All collected samples are currently being prepared for delivery to ALS Metallurgy Laboratories in Kamloops, British Columbia, for detailed analysis.
Commenting on the completion of the Program, Mr. Dimitri Lakutin, CEO of Auric Minerals Corp., said, “The successful completion of our 2024 fieldwork at Goodeye Property marks an important milestone in advancing exploration at this promising property. Despite challenging winter conditions, our team demonstrated exceptional skill and adaptability, delivering high-quality results that will guide the next phases of exploration. We are optimistic about the property's potential and remain committed to creating long-term value for our shareholders.”
