Highlights

  • Sitka Gold Corp.reports significant gold mineralization at the RC Gold Project in Yukon.
  • Results from Hole 68 reveal gold grades increasing with depth, including a 678.1-metre intersection from surface.
  • Hole 67 confirms the southern extension of mineralization intersected in previous drill holes.

Sitka Gold Corp. (TSXV:SIG), a company focused on gold exploration, continues its diamond drilling campaign at the RC Gold Project, located in Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt. This region is known for its gold deposits, and the project is located around 100 kilometers east of Dawson City. The latest results highlight the significant gold mineralization discovered in the ongoing drilling activities.

Notable Results from Hole 68 and Hole 67

Hole 68 returned a substantial gold intersection, starting from surface, measuring over 678.1 meters at 1.04 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. Within this interval, higher-grade zones were encountered, including 409.5 meters at 1.36 g/t gold. The hole also revealed an impressive deep section of 93.0 meters at 2.57 g/t gold, with one segment showing 17.59 g/t gold over 5.5 meters. These results suggest increasing gold grades at depth, which could significantly expand the Blackjack gold mineralization zone.

Hole 67 also returned noteworthy results, with 99.2 meters at 1.01 g/t gold, including a narrower zone of 18.39 g/t gold over 2.5 meters. This confirmed the southern extension of mineralization previously identified in drill holes 58 and 62, both laterally and at depth.

Expansion of Blackjack Mineralization

The assay results from Hole 68 have expanded the known Blackjack mineralization, pushing the gold-bearing zone approximately 200 meters deeper than previously recorded drilling. This is a significant development as it provides further insights into the potential depth and scale of the deposit. The increasing gold grades at these depths indicate that the mineralization remains strong and persistent, suggesting there may be more untapped potential below the current exploration level.

Exploration at Rhosgobel Intrusion

In addition to drilling at the Blackjack zone, Sitka Gold is also targeting other areas within the RC Gold Project. The Rhosgobel intrusion, located five kilometers south of the Blackjack deposit, has recently seen its first diamond drill holes. Early indications are promising, with visible occurrences of gold in the drill core. Results for these holes are pending, and the company is awaiting the assay results to further evaluate this new target area.

The continued exploration at RC Gold, including drilling at deeper levels and expanding into new zones such as the Rhosgobel intrusion, is expected to further define the project's scope and potential. As the company awaits further assay results, these findings could play a pivotal role in future project development.
