Happy Belly Food Group Inc. (CSE:HBFG), a prominent consolidator of emerging food brands, is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest Heal Wellness location. This new store, offering a variety of fresh smoothie bowls, acai bowls, and smoothies, is situated in Calgary’s Mount Royal neighborhood, located at Suite 110, 815 - 17 Ave South West. The store will officially open to the public on February 7th, 2025, with a grand opening event scheduled for February 8th, 2025. This marks the company’s 16th Heal Wellness location overall and the 7th in Western Canada, signaling the growth and success of the brand.

"We are thrilled to expand our Heal Wellness brand and continue growing across Canada," said Sean Black, CEO of Happy Belly. "This marks a key milestone as we open our 7th location in Western Canada and push forward with more openings across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario in 2025."

The pace of expansion for Happy Belly has been accelerating, and with a contractual commitment for 100 Heal Wellness units across both Canada and the U.S., the company is poised to see its footprint grow even larger in the coming years. The growth of the Heal Wellness brand is supported by an asset-light franchising model that focuses on securing high-quality franchisees and prime real estate locations for franchisees nationwide.

In addition to Heal Wellness, Happy Belly has other Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands actively under construction across Canada. The company currently has 421 contractually committed retail locations from area developers in various stages of development, construction, or operation. As more franchise agreements are signed and prime locations are secured, Happy Belly's national presence is expanding rapidly.

The Heal Wellness brand, specializing in nutritious smoothie and acai bowls, has seen impressive growth, with several more locations already under development. This expansion is not only fueled by the brand’s increasing popularity but also by the growing demand for healthy and convenient dining options. The success of this brand’s growth trajectory highlights Happy Belly’s ability to execute effectively, balancing corporate store development with its growing franchise program.

"We are proud of the progress made and the successful execution of our expansion strategy. Heal Wellness continues to show strong growth, and as the brand's free cash flow grows, we anticipate further accelerating the timeline for corporate store openings. This expansion, alongside our ongoing franchising efforts, reflects our dedication to the growth of our food brands and the satisfaction of our franchisees and customers," added Black.

Looking ahead, Happy Belly remains committed to providing top-tier support for its franchisees and ensuring the continued growth of its diverse portfolio of emerging brands. The company will continue to focus on high-quality real estate opportunities and evaluating franchisee applications, paving the way for more announcements of new store openings throughout 2025 and 2026.
