Power Metallic Mines expands drilling at Lion-Nisk-Tiger trend in Quebec with four active rigs
Newly acquired land boosts exploration footprint adjacent to Nisk discovery
Company obtains international license for Jabal Baudan project in Saudi Arabia
Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX:PNPN), listed on the TSX Venture Composite Index, is a Canadian exploration company focused on high-grade nickel, copper, platinum group elements, gold, and silver. The company is advancing work across its large Nisk property in Quebec, emphasizing expansion through drill activity and new land acquisitions.
Multi-zone exploration continues with aggressive summer-to-fall program
The company has launched an expanded exploration initiative targeting the Lion-Nisk-Tiger trend, deploying four active rigs across key zones. Two fly rigs are focused on the Lion zone, working to extend known mineralized structures and infill existing intercepts. A third rig is now drilling in the Tiger zone, targeting newly identified geophysical anomalies, while a fourth rig is operating between Lion and Tiger to explore the under-drilled corridor that links both systems.
In the eastern part of the property, the Nisk zone remains active, where a skid-mounted rig is drilling targets identified through recent electromagnetic surveys. These early results indicate a mineral signature combining characteristics from both the Nisk and Lion zones, adding geological complexity to the broader trend.
Property expansion enhances footprint along key mineral trend
Power Metallic has also completed a definitive agreement to acquire a new block of mineral claims from Li-FT Power. This land package directly adjoins the current Nisk property and covers extensions of mineralized zones under active exploration. The acquisition increases the company’s footprint and enables testing of contiguous targets that may link or expand existing deposits.
The newly acquired ground adds significant geological upside to the broader program, particularly along the strike length hosting polymetallic mineralization associated with the Lion and Nisk discoveries. With drill programs already underway in these zones, the expanded land position is expected to support continued exploration into adjacent anomalies.
Saudi Arabian project marks first international license award
In parallel with domestic expansion, Power Metallic Mines has also entered the Middle East exploration space by securing the exploration license for the Jabal Baudan project in Saudi Arabia. The license, awarded through a national competitive tender, allows the company to operate as one of the few foreign mineral explorers in the region.
This move adds a new jurisdiction to the company’s project pipeline and reflects a broader strategic effort to build a diverse portfolio of battery and precious metal projects. The Jabal Baudan license offers an early-stage opportunity to apply exploration expertise in a new geologic environment.
Lion and Nisk zones highlight polymetallic system development
Drill results from the Nisk project have shown consistent intercepts containing nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum group elements, and gold. The Lion zone, situated several kilometers from the Nisk Main deposit, is emerging as a significant area of interest due to its high-grade nature and structural connectivity to the broader mineralized trend.
As drilling continues across Lion, Tiger, and Nisk, the company is using electromagnetic surveys and geophysical data to refine its targets and uncover new zones within the extended land package. These efforts are directed at identifying multiple mineralized zones along the strike, with current activities indicating the presence of interconnected systems along the Lion-Nisk-Tiger corridor.
Power Metallic Mines remains focused on expanding its exploration footprint across Quebec’s high-grade polymetallic belt, supported by systematic drilling, geophysical modeling, and strategic land acquisition.
