- Veris (VRS) wins key contract for Melbourne’s rail infrastructure
- Expands digital engineering footprint with tunnel survey work
- Enhances forward workload pipeline with multi-sector projects
Veris (ASX:VRS), a prominent player in digital consulting and spatial data services, has been awarded a substantial engineering survey contract for Victoria’s Suburban Rail Loop East, specifically for the Tunnels North section. This critical infrastructure initiative is part of the broader Big Build program led by the state government, aimed at transforming public transport and urban planning across Melbourne.
The awarded scope includes survey operations for approximately 10 kilometres of twin tunnel construction stretching from Glen Waverley to Box Hill. The engagement will span several years and encompasses advanced engineering survey services, digital solutions, and robust data management.
While Veris does not fall within the ASX 200 list, the contract underscores the strength of mid-tier players that are increasingly supporting Australia’s infrastructure transformation efforts.
This new assignment adds to Veris’ growing pipeline, contributing significantly to its long-term workload portfolio. This expansion is supported by the earlier strategic acquisition of Spatial Vision Innovation, a Melbourne-based spatial solutions company that has enhanced Veris’ digital capabilities.
Beyond the Suburban Rail Loop, Veris has recently delivered digital-first services for a variety of national projects. These include data capture for the Transgrid HumeLink East transmission network, road analysis for the Shire of Ashburton in Western Australia, and streamlined digital workflow solutions for a government-led road safety initiative.
These projects reflect an increasing demand for high-accuracy digital surveying, consulting, and data advisory services in the infrastructure sector. Veris has been aligning itself with this demand through a strong focus on integrating advanced spatial technologies and digital platforms into its offerings.
With ongoing infrastructure initiatives across the country, Veris continues to position itself as a reliable provider of technology-enabled solutions. Its expanding involvement in nationally significant projects signals growing momentum in digital transformation within engineering and surveying—an area where Veris appears committed to long-term leadership.
