Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) reports expanded mineralised system at the Branches Prospect
Aircore drilling confirms gold intercepts across regional targets MC1.4 and MC4.3
RC drilling initiated at Payns Prospect to further assess exploration zones
Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM), a company outside the ASX 200, has announced further advancement of its Wallbrook Gold Project, situated in Western Australia’s northeastern goldfields. As part of the broader resources sector, the update showcases the continuing activity in regional exploration across key tenements. Nexus Minerals operates in a region heavily covered by companies listed under ASX 300, ASX 100, ASX 50, and All Ordinaries indices.
Branches Prospect Reveals Southward Extension
The latest aircore drill program focused on regional targets within the Wallbrook tenement. A major highlight includes the Branches Prospect at target MC1.4, where assay results have confirmed a southward extension of the mineralised gold system. Mapping at this prospect now indicates continuity over an expanded strike length.
Gold intercepts at MC1.4 have supported the company’s regional geological model, confirming consistent mineralisation within the zone. These drill results have provided a basis for further work, particularly around higher-grade pockets identified during recent activity.
Multiple Zones Identified at MC4.3
Target MC4.3 also delivered promising results. Drilling activity across this area revealed a spread of gold-bearing intercepts along a defined corridor. The structural characteristics and continuity of mineralisation are currently being reviewed through additional field studies.
Several intercepts have shown presence of gold mineralisation across broader lithological structures, marking MC4.3 as a zone of significance. Nexus has indicated further exploration will continue in the area to define geological continuity and ore boundaries.
Limited Results at MC5.4 and Redirection of Efforts
Exploration at target MC5.4, situated northwest of the Wallbrook Gold Mine, returned limited assay outcomes. Based on these results, the company has decided not to pursue additional work at this specific site. Resources and exploration activities will now prioritise areas with demonstrated mineral presence, particularly the expanded Branches and MC4.3 prospects.
Reverse Circulation Drilling Commences at Payns Prospect
Following the conclusion of the regional aircore program, Nexus Minerals has initiated a reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Payns Prospect. This marks the first RC program over one of the newly discovered aircore zones.
The company has laid out a multi-phase drilling plan to evaluate gold continuity and mineral characteristics. The results of this new campaign are expected to shape the strategic direction of the Wallbrook exploration effort, further building upon earlier reconnaissance data.
Systematic Exploration Approach and Visual Updates
Nexus has maintained a systematic exploration strategy across its Wallbrook tenements. Location maps and gold intercept visuals from the program have illustrated key drilling zones, with noticeable concentration around MC1.4 and MC4.3.
