Endeavour Mining PLC {OTC:EDVMF} has announced the appointment of Sonia Scarselli as its new Executive VP of Exploration, starting in December. Scarselli currently serves as Vice President at both BHP Exploration and BHP Xplor, where she leads the global exploration programme and the exploration Accelerator Programme.

Scarselli will take over from Jono Lawrence, who is set to leave the company at the end of the year following a planned transition period. In her new role, she will oversee Endeavour's exploration initiatives, further enhancing the company's strategic direction in gold mining.

Endeavour Mining also highlighted its commitment to diversity, noting that with Scarselli's addition, 30% of its ten-member executive committee will be female. Scarselli brings significant experience to the role, having joined BHP in 2012 after beginning her career at ExxonMobil, positioning her to drive Endeavour's exploration efforts effectively.
