Quhuo Limited (NASDAQ:QH), a prominent player in China’s gig economy, has taken a significant leap forward with the launch of its new booking platform for its homestay division, Chengtu Home. This platform introduces six distinct functional room types, aimed at enhancing the accommodation experience for users and representing a major advancement in Chengtu’s service offerings.

The booking platform debuted in September 2024, following successful internal testing, marking a pivotal moment for Chengtu as it continues to develop its independent operations and private user management capabilities. Since its inception, Chengtu has been dedicated to building a comprehensive homestay platform, focusing on refining its supply chain and promoting industry standards. With this new initiative, the company aims to empower partners, expand customer resources, and deliver greater value to both hosts and guests.

Chengtu's booking platform is designed to roll out in three strategic phases. The first phase is already complete, featuring 2,000 proprietary homestays across 51 cities in China. This initial launch sets the stage for subsequent phases, which will concentrate on enhancing private user operations and establishing a membership system for hosts and guests. Eventually, Chengtu plans to broaden its reach by opening the platform to more domestic homestay operators, providing them with comprehensive operational support. This structured approach is expected to drive efficiency and propel the homestay industry toward greater standardization and scalability.

A standout feature of Chengtu’s new platform is the introduction of six specialized room types tailored to meet the diverse needs of its users. These include the Chengnuan Care Room, Chengyu E-sports Room, Chengxiao Business Travel Room, Chengle Family Room, Chengyi Cinema Room, and Chengyue Elegant Retreat Room. Each room type not only highlights the brand's identity but also reflects its commitment to functionality and user satisfaction. The name "Cheng," meaning orange in Chinese, symbolizes warmth and vitality, echoing the brand's ethos.

The functional designs of these room types distinguish them in the market. The Care Room, for instance, is strategically located near hospitals and equipped with medical support features, creating a comforting environment for families seeking care. In contrast, the E-sports Room boasts high-performance gaming gear and immersive decor, making it an ideal retreat for gamers. The Business Travel Room caters specifically to professionals, featuring high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace to enhance productivity. For families, the Family Room is designed with child-friendly entertainment and safety measures, ensuring a worry-free stay. The Cinema Room offers a theater-quality projection experience for private screenings, while the Elegant Retreat Room provides premium bedding in a serene setting.

Chengtu’s new booking platform not only enriches the accommodation landscape but also reflects Quhuo’s broader commitment to innovation in the local life services sector. By focusing on user needs and industry standards, Chengtu aims to create a more personalized and enjoyable experience for both hosts and guests. As the platform continues to evolve and expand, it promises to transform the way travelers experience homestays in China, setting a new benchmark for quality and service in the industry.
