US Markets: Broader indices in the United States traded in green - particularly, the S&P 500 index traded 17.28 points or 0.41 per cent higher at 4,218.16, Dow Jones Industrial Average Index surged by 135.53 points or 0.39 per cent higher at 34,600.17, and the technology benchmark index Nasdaq Composite traded higher at 13,812.85, up by 76.58 points or 0.56 per cent against the previous day close (at the time of writing - 11:50 AM ET).
US Market News: The major indices of Wall Street traded in a green zone remained unshaken by the surge in inflation. Among the gaining stocks, Salesforce.com (CRM) shares went up by around 6.03% after the Company had reported quarterly earnings of USD 1.21 per share. Ulta Beauty (ULTA) shares jumped by about 5.69% after the Company had reported quarterly earnings more than twice of the consensus estimates. Box (BOX) shares rose by about 1.31% after the Company had raised its full-year forecasts. Among the declining stocks, Boeing (BA) shares dropped by about 1.85% after the news that the jet maker had halted deliveries of its 787 Dreamliner.
UK Market News: The London markets traded in a green zone as investors waited for Joe Biden’s proposed USD 6 trillion budget aiming to boost the middle class and infrastructure.
AstraZeneca shares went up by around 0.17% after its Tagrisso cancer drug got approved in the European Union post encouraging results from the Phase 3 Trials.
Housebuilder Vistry Group was upgraded by Barclays from “equal weight” to “overweight”. Furthermore, the shares went up by approximately 3.97%.
Restaurant Group shares dropped by around 3.61% after Prime Minister Boris Johnson hinted that relaxations related to the Covid-19 restrictions might get delayed from the scheduled date of 21 June 2021 due to the spread of the Indian variant of coronavirus.
Mining Company Kodal Minerals shares surged by about 4.17% after the Company updated that the mining license application for the Bougouni Lithium Project is progressing well despite the political turbulence in Mali.
