Shanta Gold announces West Kenya Project scoping study results

Shanta Gold ltd (LON:SHG), Saint Peter Port-based gold producer has announced the Scoping Study results for the high-grade West Kenya Project.

  • With the results of the independent Scoping Study, the project has a production potential of average annual gold production to the tune of 105,000 ounces for nine years.
  • Open pit mining will be conducted for a period of two years, followed by underground mining, Shanta Gold informed.
  • Community development, infrastructure, employment, skills development and training along with royalties on gold production, corporate income taxes, mining license fee are some of the long-term benefits that may arise.
  • On 14 October 2020, the stocks of the company traded higher by 1.25% from the previous closing at GBX 20.25 at 08:53 AM GMT+1.
