Restaurant & Bar operator Young & Co's Brewery Plc’s reports 7.2% revenue growth in H1FY20

  • AIM-traded Young & Co's Brewery Plc having operational interest in managing Pubs reported revenue growth of 7.3% (pre IFRS 16) to £2m in the first-half of FY20 against £156.8m reported a year-over period.
  • Operating profit during the period under review was lower at £8m against £28.9m recorded in the same period of last year, driven by a spurt in operating adjusting items of £2.3m against £0.3m posted past year.
  • Increased finance cost reduced the group’s basic earnings per share to 38.98p from 42.52p/share recorded a year-ago and diluted earnings per share stood at 38.13p against 42.48p reported in the H1FY19, respectively.
