If you ever thought that marriages receptions or marriages can’t happen in a virtual world, think again! A couple from Tamil Nadu, India, will perhaps be the first couple in the world to host a wedding reception on metaverse. The couple from Sivalingapuram is expected to host a Hogwarts-themed reception in February.

With the help of Polygon Technology Blockchain, the project associate at IIT Madras Dinesh S P has conceptualized the metaverse marriage reception as a gift to his partner.
His wife had lost her father in April last year and he intends to surprise her with the digital avatar of her father who is expected to be present at the ceremony.

Dating on Metaverse
Though you would have heard about online dating, have you ever wondered what your date will look like on metaverse. Online dating had reasonable success in pandemic keeping the audience engaged and hooked on various dating apps.
But now, Tinder is looking to explore how dating can be incorporated on metaverse. Tinder CEO Renate Nyberg in December 2021 expressed his idea of how to blur the boundaries between the offline and online modes of dating. According to news reports, Nyberg has been working on Tinderverse, which will be about dating on a metaverse.
Political meetings on metaverse
Turkey seems to be taking metaverse into politics and administrative work. Recently, the ruling party, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), held its first metaverse meeting with its leaders on crypto regulations, where all top politicians were present.

Fashion shows on Metaverse
Ever wondered if a fashion week in Paris or Milan can be held on metaverse? Though it may be improbable to host a physical event due to Covid-19, it is certainly not impossible to host one on metaverse.
Fashion shows are all set to make a debut on metaverse in March 2022 on the Decentraland platform. The metaverse platform is scheduled to see multiple days of catwalks, fashion shows, and discussions in collaboration with Polygon blockchain-hosted luxury marketplace UNXD.
The virtual fashion venture is expected to take place between 24 March and 27 March wherein the consumers will be able to see virtual garments, and interact with other viewers, designers, and media.
