With Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the rest of crypto trending once again, more investors and traders are looking for insight from industry experts, influencers, and even big brands and they find it via social media.

To help steer users in the right direction on which trustworthy accounts to follow, we’ve put together this massive list of the top 20 crypto Twitter accounts to follow.

Top 20 Crypto Twitter Accounts

Elon Musk

We decided to start the list with a relative newcomer to the crypto space but one that has had the most impact since their arrival. Elon Musk, the outspoken Tesla CEO has the power to move markets with only a tweet. Unfortunately, his meme-posting caused crypto to crash and tarnished the admiration the crypto community once had for the CEO.

Andreas M. Antonopoulos

Andreas M. Antonopoulos is almost as synonymous with Bitcoin as the name Satoshi Nakamoto, and has nearly been promoting the cryptocurrency as long. Antonopoulos is a Bitcoin advocate, evangelist, and educator who has been teaching the world about the power of Bitcoin since he first understood its value himself.

Willy Woo

Will Woo is what the crypto community refers to as an on-chain analyst, specializing in Bitcoin’s blockchain. Woo looks at all kinds of blockchain data, such as the total wallets holding BTC and how much BTC each holds. Woo has developed tools like the NVT ratio, which compares the total value of the Bitcoin network against the total value being transacted across it. The indicator has been used successfully to time tops and bottoms in Bitcoin.

PrimeXBT

PrimeXBT is a popular award-winning cryptocurrency margin trading platform offering CFDs on forex, crypto, commodities, metals, and stock indices all under one roof. The company gets a nod here for a number of reasons, but especially for the exceptional engagement with its audience. The Twitter account is also an extension of its 24/7 customer service and the account regularly gives away Bitcoin, trading tips, and much more.

Lolli

Lolli is yet another Bitcoin-related brand that loves to give back. Not only do they also give away BTC to users via Twitter using something called a “satstag” the company offers a mobile app with a daily stack of satoshi – the lowest unit of account in BTC. In addition, they partner with retailers to offer Bitcoin back on purchases made through select partners.

Peter Schiff

Peter Schiff is actually a Bitcoin hater and naysayer, and outspoken goldbug. Schiff is the CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., and Schiff Gold bears his namesake. Schiff famously predicted the Great Recession. His tweets are worth following and have been shown to correlate with extreme market movements.

Spencer Schiff

Spencer Schiff is the son of Peter Schiff above, and following the two go hand and hand. The reason is because they tend to feed off one another, due to the fact that Spencer is an early Bitcoin supporter who bought the cryptocurrency below $20,000. Dad hates this about his son, and regularly bashes him for it publicly. Spencer, however, tends to win in the end as Bitcoin has outperformed gold by a large margin.

Michael Saylor

Michael Saylor is another CEO turned Bitcoin influencer, who bought into crypto back when the cryptocurrency was priced around US$12,000 per coin. The MicroStrategy CEO’s involvement is partially what set off the bullish trend in Bitcoin. Interestingly, years earlier, Saylor had joined in on assuming Bitcoin was dead due to an abrupt market crash. Over time he and everyone has learned that is just how the cryptocurrency market behaves, but Bitcoin always bounces back.

Tyler Winklevoss

Tyler Winklevoss is notably the more aggressive of the two brothers and more outspoken. Therefore, he tends to be the better follow for his industry commentary and more. The twins are the co-founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange and own one of the largest sums of BTC known today.

Cameron Winklevoss

Cameron is also a great follow for industry commentary and expertise on the crypto market. Like the combination of Peter and Spencer Schiff, you don’t get the full picture without following both accounts.

Charles Edwards

Charles Edwads is a Bitcoin expert and crypto capital manager known for developing some of the most unique cryptocurrency analyst tools out there. For example, the Hash Ribbons combine Bitcoin fundamentals with BTCUSD technical signals. The tool is considered “the most profitable buy signal in Bitcoin.”

Phillip Swift

While Edwards is known for buy signals, Swift is more known for sell signals. Swift’s most popular tool, the Pi Cycle Top Indicator, triggered just as Bitcoin was trading at $65,000. Before that, was when the crypto was at US$20,000, and before then, at US$1,200. Essentially, the tool has accurately called all tops in crypto so far. Is it wrong this time, or right yet again?

Plan B

Rounding out this set of Bitcoin experts, is the pseudonymous trader who created the Bitcoin stock-to-flow model. This theory suggests that based on the BTC supply, the cost per coin could reach six figures or more during the ongoing cycle.

Vitalik Buterin

With Bitcoin well represented, no crypto Twitter account list would be complete without the creator of Ethereum himself, Vitalik Buterin. Buterin redefined blockchain technology to include smart contracts, and the market has never been the same since.

Barry Silbert

Barry Silbert is the founder of Digital Currency Group – one of the most powerful companies in all of crypto. The company owns stake in just about every company out there, including Coinbase and CoinDesk.

Coinbase

Coinbase gets the next nod on the list, notably due to the education they often provide. They are among the most popular crypto asset exchanges in the United States and have become synonymous with Bitcoin and crypto.

Peter Brandt

One of the amazing things about crypto Twitter is that it combines the Wild West of crypto with traditional trading and assets. Peter Brandt is an iconic career commodities trader, who has taken an interest in Bitcoin. He provides analysis that is untouchable due to his expertise.

John Bollinger

Yet another trading legend, John Bollinger, the creator of the Bollinger Bands, also likes to speculate on Bitcoin. He often gives a warning when the cryptocurrency is about to head fake, and often points out “logical” points where the market might make a big move.

Mike McGlone

Last but not least, is Senior Commodities Strategist for Bloomberg, Mike McGlone. McGlone often looks at Bitcoin’s performance, volatility, supply and more, and compares the data to the NDX or gold. This unique take from an expert on supply and demand is extremely valuable.
