Highlights
- Orezone reported intercepts including 1.59 g/t Au over 48.00m and 1.97 g/t Au over 16.10m, confirming continuity of high-grade sub-zones at the North Hill area.
- Drilling at the P8P9 Zone returned one of the widest mineralized intercepts on the property to date, with 0.64 g/t Au over 157.00m including 1.09 g/t Au over 45.00m.
- Step-out drilling extended mineralization at the P8P9 Zone by an additional 100 metres down plunge, supporting ongoing expansion of the project’s exploration potential.
Orezone Gold Corporation (TSX:ORE, ASX:ORE) has reported further results from its ongoing multi-year exploration program at the flagship Bomboré Gold Mine in Burkina Faso. The most recent assays, from the North Zone, North Hill Zone, and P8P9 Zone, continue to confirm the down plunge continuity of higher-grade mineralization below existing life-of-mine pits and expand the known mineralized trends.
North and North Hill Zones
The program define and extend mineralized structures along the 3 km strike length of the North Zone. Gold mineralization is associated with quartz veinlets and disseminated pyrite, occurring within shear zones developed where north-northeast trending structures intersect easterly dipping footwall shears.
At the North Hill Zone, east of the main Footwall Zone, extensional quartz veining has delivered higher-grade intercepts. Recent drilling confirmed both the down plunge continuity of higher-grade sub-zones beneath the current reserve pit and delineated additional mineralization within the west-dipping footwall shear. Notable results include:
- 1.59 g/t Au over 48.00m, including 4.86 g/t Au over 9.00m (BBD1358)
- 1.97 g/t Au over 16.10m, including 2.74 g/t Au over 10.10m (BPC7217)
- 2.01 g/t Au over 14.00m (BPC7216)
These trends remain open at depth, providing opportunities for further follow-up drilling.
P8P9 Zone
The P8P9 Zone, located adjacent to the North Zone, is mineralized over a 1.6 km strike length and up to 1.4 km wide. Drilling confirmed extensions of mineralization, with hole BBD1370 intersecting 0.64 g/t Au over 157.00m, including 1.09 g/t Au over 45.00m and 2.56 g/t Au over 8.00m.
These results represent one of the broadest continuous mineralized intervals drilled at Bomboré to date and extend the higher-grade zone by an additional 100m down plunge.
The Company is advancing stage 1 hard rock expansion construction, with first gold forecasted in Q4 2025. Combined oxide and stage 1 production is forecasted at 170,000–185,000 ounces in 2026, with stage 2 expansion planned to increase output to 220,000–250,000 ounces annually.
