Highlights

  • New Break Resources has expanded its Moray Gold Project landholding to 22,275 hectares in Ontario.
  • The company’s maiden drilling program confirmed high-grade gold intercepts at the Moray property.
  • Expansion bridges gaps between existing mineral claims, creating a contiguous exploration footprint, states the company.
  • New Break has secured over CAD 2 million from warrant exercises to fund ongoing exploration.

New Break Resources Ltd. (CSE:NBRK), a Canadian mineral exploration company, is focused on advancing its Moray Gold Project. The project is located 49 km south of Timmins, Ontario, where the Company’s recent maiden drilling program resulted in a new gold discovery.  Situated within a well-established mining district and close to major operations such as Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson mine, the project benefits from access to key regional infrastructure. Beyond Ontario, New Break also maintains a 20% carried interest in the Sundog Gold Project in Nunavut, a promising area for gold exploration and production in northern Canada.

Expansion of the Moray Property

New Break has recently announced a major expansion of its land holdings around the Moray property through the acquisition of approximately 4,719 hectares and the staking of an additional 473 hectares of mineral claims to the west and northwest of the main project area. Following this expansion, New Break now controls a total of 22,275 hectares of mineral claims in the region.

As per the company, the newly acquired and staked claims, identified enhance the continuity of the company’s exploration ground. President Michael Farrant noted that the acquisition bridges the gap between the main Moray property and several of New Break’s existing western claims, strengthening the company’s exploration footprint and regional presence.

Maiden Drilling Confirms High-Grade Gold at Moray Project

Last month, New Break announced encouraging assay results from its maiden diamond drilling program at the Moray gold project. The six-hole, 1,502-meter program, completed by Enviro North Exploration Inc. between July 12 and August 14, 2025, returned impressive intercepts.

  • 11 g/t Au over 31.3 meters in Drillhole #5 and
  • 35 g/t Au over 14.8 meters in Drillhole #4.

William Love, Chief Executive Officer of New Break, stated that the results from drillholes four and five mark the discovery of a new gold system and represent the best gold intersections ever recorded at the Moray gold project.

Warrant Acceleration Bolsters Treasury

New Break has secured over CAD 2.0 million in funding following the full exercise of share purchase warrants issued through prior private placements. The proceeds strengthen the company’s treasury to CAD 2.2 million, supporting continued exploration and development at its Moray gold project.

With the expansion of its Moray Gold Project, New Break Resources advances its Ontario exploration strategy. Recent maiden drilling confirmed high-grade gold mineralization, while additional funding would help the company to drive further exploration and development across its growing portfolio.

Shares of NBRK last traded at CAD 0.26 on October 29, 2025.
