Key Highlights:
- Hole KBRC301 hits 204 g/t Au over 1.0 metre, the highest-grade gold intercept to date at Enchi.
- Hole KBRC307A encounters 3.36 g/t Au over 28.0 metres, with a high-grade core of 37.58 g/t Au over 2.0 metres.
- Ongoing infill drilling program aims to convert Inferred Resources to Indicated, improving resource confidence and advancing the project toward a Pre-Feasibility Study.
Newcore Gold Ltd. (TSX-V: NCA) has announced exciting new results from its ongoing 10,000-metre drilling program at the 100%-owned Enchi Gold Project in Ghana. Recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at the Boin Gold Deposit has delivered some of the highest-grade gold intercepts to date, providing further evidence of the significant resource potential at the project.
Drilling in the central portion of Boin has intersected exceptionally high-grade gold, with hole KBRC301 returning 204 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 1.0 metre from 59 metres, marking the highest-grade gold interval encountered so far at Enchi. This is accompanied by a contiguous zone of 1.46 g/t gold over 2.0 metres. Additionally, hole KBRC307A intersected a wide zone of higher-grade mineralization, including 3.36 g/t gold over 28.0 metres and a high-grade interval of 37.58 g/t gold over 2.0 metres from 133 metres.
These results are part of a strategic infill drilling program aimed at upgrading the existing Inferred Resources to Indicated Resources and expanding the overall resource base. The drilling has confirmed the continuity of gold mineralization at Boin, enhancing confidence in the potential for significant future resource growth.
The latest drilling has consistently intersected multiple mineralized zones across the deposit, with holes continuing to encounter gold mineralization both in near-surface oxide zones and deeper sulphide zones. For example, hole KBRC305 intersected 1.01 g/t gold over 48 metres, including 1.86 g/t gold over 14 metres, indicating strong down-dip continuity. Drilling has also extended the footprint of mineralization, with several holes confirming high-grade zones over significant widths, particularly in the sulphide mineralization.
These promising results are set to enhance the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at Enchi, positioning the project for a Pre-Feasibility Study in the near future. Newcore's ongoing drilling program continues to unlock the potential for resource growth, with additional drilling focused on the Boin and Sewum deposits, both of which remain open along strike and at depth.
