In the last 24 hours, the price of Dash (DASH) cryptocurrency has surged 6.4 per cent, and it was trading at US$ 114.09 per token at the time of writing. Meanwhile, the one-day volume increased 78 per cent to $255.5 million.

The price surge could have caught the attention of crypto market trades as the market traded in the red. At 6 AM EST, Bitcoin was down by 2.3 per cent, and ETH had declined 2.5 per cent in the last 24 hours.

It appeared that the market was recovering from the recent crash. However, it seems that Charlie Munger's comments on cryptocurrency didn't go down very well with the investors.

Notably, Mr Munger is the Vice Chairman at Berkshire Hathaway, and he reportedly called for a ban on virtual currencies.
