Ashley completed three holes on IP line 250 during Phase II to target this zone and gather lithological and dip data. The Northern Trench Zone (NTZ) is a newly identified, previously undrilled target highlighted by recent surface prospecting and expanded surface exposure.

The company follows rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocols for sampling and assaying. Samples are collected using hammer and chisel with GPS location data, bagged securely, and sent to ActLabs in Dryden, Ontario for 1A2 Au fire assay analysis. Sample sizes typically are 30 grams, adjustable between 5 and 50 grams depending on material.

The fire assay includes a 60-minute fusion with sequential heating and gold recovery by atomic absorption (AA). QA/QC includes blanks, duplicates, and certified reference materials on each tray. Samples exceeding 5,000 ppb gold are re-assayed by gravimetric fire assay (1A3) to ensure accuracy.
