National Bank of Canada reports Q3 financial results

  • The Montreal-based bank’s earned C$ 602 million for its third quarter (ending July 31), down from profit of C$ 608 million same period last year.
  • The bank set aside C$ 143 million for potential bad loans, up from C$ 86 million same quarter last year, but down from C$ 504 million in the previous quarter.
  • Revenue stood at C$ 2.02 billion, down from C$ 2.04 billion as a year ago.
