Woodside (ASX: WDS) Reshapes Leadership Structure to Navigate Energy Transition

Woodside (ASX: WDS) has announced a revised leadership structure, effective from August 1, 2024, to advance the company’s strategy and navigate the evolving energy landscape. This new structure consolidates core business activities into a streamlined operating model, positioning Woodside for future growth and innovation.

Key Elements of the Revised Structure

The revised leadership structure aggregates project execution and operational activities into two regional Executive Vice President (EVP) & Chief Operating Officer roles. These roles will focus on Australia and International operations separately. This strategic move aims to drive a strong focus on safety and business execution.

Additionally, all traditional and new energy growth and opportunity activities, including exploration and mergers & acquisitions, will be integrated under a new EVP & Chief Commercial Officer role. Technical and project development activities will also be consolidated under a new EVP Technical & Energy Development role, ensuring a streamlined approach to energy development.

Acknowledging Departing Leaders

O'Neill expressed gratitude to departing ELT members Shiva McMahon and Matthew Ridolfi for their significant contributions during a transformative period for Woodside. She also acknowledged Shaun Gregory for his leadership in the new energy business, noting that he would continue to serve as an Adviser to the CEO.
