  • The agreement could bring in more than $25 million annually in revenue.
  • The contract will strengthen MLG's position in the Goldfields region.

MLG Oz (ASX:MLG), an integrated mining services and resource asset management company based in Kalgoorlie, has secured a multi-million-dollar contract with Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX), one of the prominent gold miners in Western Australia. The agreement, set to begin in March 2025, will span an initial three-year term and has the potential to exceed $25 million in annual revenue.

Under the terms of the contract, MLG Oz will be responsible for providing bulk ore haulage services to Westgold Resources, transporting run-of-mine (ROM) ore from various mines to Westgold's processing facilities, including Higginsville and Lakewood, located in the southern part of the Goldfields region. The contract also includes managing and maintaining ore stockpiles on the ROM pads and overseeing haul road maintenance—critical services that support the smooth running of mining operations.

This new partnership marks a significant milestone for MLG Oz as it continues to expand its footprint in the Goldfields. MLG's Managing Director, Murray Leahy, expressed his excitement about the new agreement, noting that it aligns with the company’s strategy of focusing on efficiency, safety, and operational scale. The contract with Westgold builds upon a long-standing relationship that began three years ago, providing both companies with the opportunity to streamline operations and unlock greater value from their shared focus on growth.

Westgold Resources will benefit from MLG's extensive network in the Goldfields, allowing the mining giant to improve the efficiency of its Southern Goldfields operations. This partnership also highlights the potential for continued collaboration as both companies work toward further optimising their operations in the region.

MLG Oz is well positioned to leverage this new contract to grow its already impressive portfolio of mining services. The company offers a wide range of integrated services, including open-pit mining and construction materials, and is continuing to strengthen its operations across Western Australia. The haulage services contract with Westgold Resources reinforces MLG's capabilities and secures a steady revenue stream, offering a promising outlook for future growth in the region.
