The small-cap sector witnessed significant movements this week, with a range of companies delivering strong performance across various industries. From international expansions to strategic acquisitions, here’s a detailed overview of the standout performers.

Orthocell Ltd (ASX:OCC) emerged as one of the week's top gainers, experiencing a surge of nearly 34%. The company’s shares reached a high of $0.83 before a trading halt at $0.81. This rise came after Orthocell secured a distribution agreement with Device Technologies Asia for its nerve repair product, Remplir™, marking its first major international expansion beyond Australia and New Zealand. Supported by regulatory approval from Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, the agreement highlights Orthocell’s growing global footprint. During the company’s AGM, Chair Paul Anderson reported a 30% revenue growth over the past financial year and emphasized a positive outlook for further expansion.

European Lithium Ltd (ASX:EUR) also drew attention, climbing by 46% to trade at $0.037 by the end of the week. The uptick followed the company’s announcement of acquiring the Leinster Lithium Project in Ireland, a move that could strengthen its portfolio. The project has consistently yielded high-grade lithium oxide at surface, with grades ranging between 2.5% and 3.5%, underscoring its potential for significant resource development.

QMines Ltd (ASX:QML) delivered a robust performance, rising by 23% on Thursday to a high of $0.073 before settling at $0.064. The increase came in response to promising results from the maiden drilling program at its Develin Creek Project. Highlights included a notable 26-meter intersection grading 1.38% copper, 0.29 g/t gold, 11 g/t silver, and 1.99% zinc, signaling strong potential for mineral resource expansion.

Other notable risers included Errawarra Resources Ltd (ASX:ERW), which saw a 50% jump to $0.09 after announcing a joint venture with Falcon Metals. Element 25 Ltd (ASX:E25) advanced by 21.6% to $0.31, Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA) climbed 19.1% to $0.25, and Anteris Technologies Ltd (ASX:AVR) recorded an 8.56% gain to $9.90.

The week highlighted the dynamism of the small-cap sector, with companies achieving growth through strategic deals, resource exploration, and international market expansions. These developments showcase the potential within the small-cap space, with strong activity across diverse industries and regions.
