Key pointers from ASX closing today
- Novonix Ltd (ASX:NVX) and Pinnacle Investment Management Group Ltd (ASX:PNI) gained the most on the ASX today, moving ahead by 5.77% and 5.49%, respectively.
- Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Lt (ASX:BEN) and Graincorp Ltd (ASX:GNC) fell 3.31% and 2.31%, respectively.
- Over the last five days, the index has gained 0.30%, but is down 2.60% for the last year to date.
- 10 out of 11 sectors closed in green today.

Newsmakers
Starpharma (ASX:SPL): After receiving marketing authorization, Starpharma registered its nasal spray product VIRALEZE in Indonesia.
The company is in talks with possible distribution partners in Indonesia after the registration was successful.
Identitii (ASX:ID8): The fintech business Identitii will terminate its contract with HSBC Hong Kong as part of its rationalisation of the "One Platform" strategy.
Before this change, as part of the deal Identiti was supposed to maintain HSBC's Digital Accounts Receivables Tool (HSBC DART), which was built using Identitii's technology.
Global markets
The S&P 500 gained 0.73% to 4,019.65. The Dow Jones was 0.30% up to 34,108.64. The NASDAQ Composite increased by 1.01% to 11,256.81, and the small-cap Russell 2000 climbed by 0.76% to 1,832.36.
In Asia, Nikkei in Japan gained 0.73%, the Hang Seng in Hong Kong climbed 1.09% while the Asia Dow was 1.46% up and Shanghai Composite in China increased by 0.37% at 4.28 PM AEDT.
Bond yields
Australia’s 10-year bond yield stands at 3.38% as of 4.29 PM AEDT.
In commodities markets
Crude Oil WTI was spotted trading at US$75.25/bbl, while brent was at US$80.57/bbl at 4.30 PM AEDT.
Gold was at US$1809.69 an ounce, copper was at US$3.87/Lbs, and iron ore was at US$110.50/T at 4.30 PM AEDT.
