Fluence Corporation Limited (ASX:FLC) has announced its first US$1.7 mn Aspiral project in Latin America to supply its smart products solutions which comprise water treatment and Aspiral wastewater system for a prominent international beverage producer. The project will include the first Aspiral™ wastewater system, featuring Fluence’s unique MABR technology, to be positioned in production plant at Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company expects this project to be an important reference site for other potential Aspiral customers. The company earlier held a contract with the same customer for an industrial wastewater treatment system on the same site.

The wastewater treatment plant will treat 60 cubic meter/day, while the water treatment system will treat 1,500 cubic meter/day using an Aspiral™ L1 Smart Packaged unit. The company expects the systems to be installed and operational as early as by June 2019.Â

The company won this contract by standing high on the strictest standards of Buenos Aires for water quality discharge into the environment. Its MABR-based technology has a higher level of nutrient elimination capability than mandated by the national government. In addition, Aspiral’s low energy consumption sync well with the customer’s commitment to the corporate policy and the environment of obtaining 100% of its energy requirements from renewable sources.

It reported its revenue of US$43.7 mn in Q4 FY18, up 73% on Q4 FY17. Its gross profit (unaudited) for FY18 was reported at US$32.3 mn where US$25.2 mn was the underlying gross profit and US$7.1 mn from prior years provision.
