Highlights:

  • Falcon Metals completed an aircore drilling program across Pyramid Hill's key sites including Loddon Vale and Eddington.

  • Results at Ironbark include mineralised intercepts featuring visible gold content over multiple metres.

  • Preparations are underway for further aircore campaigns and the introduction of diamond drilling later in the year.

Falcon Metals Limited (ASX:FAL), listed on the ASX under the code FAL, operates within the mining sector, with a focus on gold exploration in Victoria. Its flagship venture, the Pyramid Hill Gold Project, covers extensive prospective terrain near Bendigo and is a cornerstone of the company's strategic exploration roadmap.

Comprehensive Drilling Across Multiple Sites

Recently, Falcon Metals completed an aircore drilling campaign encompassing the Loddon Vale, Eddington, and Mead prospects. The program concluded in early March and featured a significant number of drill holes spanning tens of kilometres. The objective was to further investigate bedrock gold anomalies and delineate areas of interest for future exploration phases.

At Loddon Vale, drilling identified structural features that align with known regional trends associated with gold mineralisation. Parallel formations within this zone have been interpreted as key indicators for broader mineralised systems. Additionally, signs of anomalous bedrock gold concentrations were noted, prompting continued geological review and mapping.

Ironbark Drilling Reveals Gold Zones

In a separate but related initiative, Falcon Metals followed up on earlier data at the Ironbark prospect, located northwest of Bendigo. Drilling results revealed mineralised intersections containing gold over multiple metres. One particular intercept recorded visible high-grade content over a short interval, indicating the presence of gold-bearing systems at depth. These findings provide key geological data that may influence future drill planning.

Expanding the Regional Scope

Exploration efforts are not limited to the previously drilled zones. Falcon Metals is preparing to initiate additional aircore drilling programs designed to better define the structures identified at Loddon Vale. The company is also advancing exploration near Raywood, an area situated north of Bendigo, where early geological signals suggest gold-related mineralisation may be present.

Introduction of Diamond Drilling Initiatives

Looking beyond aircore techniques, Falcon Metals plans to launch targeted diamond drilling campaigns in the latter part of the year. This method will be applied to specific zones where earlier drilling has indicated high-grade mineralisation. Diamond drilling is expected to provide more detailed structural and lithological data, particularly from deeper geological units that remain unexplored by shallow drilling techniques.

Stock Movement and Exploration Outlook

Falcon Metals shares recently experienced marginal upward movement during intraday trading. The share price activity coincided with updates from the exploration campaign, reflecting broader market interest in the company's gold project pipeline. Activity in the junior mining sector remains dynamic, with exploration results often impacting sentiment and trade volumes.

Ongoing Geological Assessments

Fieldwork continues across the Pyramid Hill project as Falcon Metals compiles assay data, interprets structural geology, and refines its exploration models. These developments support the company's stated goal of identifying mineralised systems that align with Victoria's rich gold endowment. Falcon Metals remains active in acquiring, analysing, and reporting on drill results that define the next phase of its operational roadmap.
