AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:AIRO) and Nord-Drone LLC have finalized an agreement to establish a new transatlantic defense venture designed to expand the availability of combat-tested drones across U.S., NATO, and Ukrainian defense markets. The joint initiative will merge manufacturing capacity, engineering capabilities, and existing production infrastructure to meet current operational requirements.
Transatlantic Partnership to Boost Production
AIRO Group Holdings, Inc., through its subsidiary AIRO Drone, LLC, and Nord-Drone LLC, operating via Nord Drone Group, LLC (NDG), have signed a definitive agreement to form AIRO Nord-Drone, LLC. The collaboration will align AIRO’s U.S.-based manufacturing and procurement operations with NDG’s established European drone production network. The agreement remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and other requirements listed in the finalized contract.
The new venture will utilize existing industrial facilities to expedite the production and deployment of drones designed for ongoing U.S. and NATO operational needs. By drawing on infrastructure already in place across both regions, the initiative plans to shorten production cycles and increase access to frontline-ready systems.
High-Volume Drone Capabilities
Nord Drone Group currently produces about 4,000 drones per month, covering FPV strike systems, loitering munitions, and multi-role bomber platforms. These units are supported by established defense partnerships and scalable production lines. Among the company’s core models, the NORD-10 and NORD-15 offer operational ranges of up to 15 km and payload capacities reaching 4.5 kg. Both models incorporate GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou navigation tools, along with proprietary control technologies.
AIRO Nord-Drone intends to prioritize rapid production of drone platforms previously deployed in active conflict scenarios. The venture will focus on supplying interoperable systems suitable for tactical surveillance, precision loitering munitions, and multi-role combat assignments.

Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria, Executive Chairman of AIRO, stated that the venture marks a key development in extending proven drone technologies to allied defense partners. Dr. Yevgen Kotukh, CEO of NDG, said the partnership establishes a framework to bring NDG’s engineering and production capabilities into broader U.S. and NATO applications.
