Power Nickel Inc (OTC:CMETF) has announced promising outcomes from its 2024 summer drilling campaign at the Lion Zone, part of the company's Nisk project. The recent drilling program successfully intercepted sulphide mineralization in 10 out of 12 holes, highlighting significant geological progress.

Key findings from the program include the extension of the high-grade portion of the Lion Zone towards the west. This zone now features a shallower plunge than previously recorded, expanding its overall mineralized footprint. Furthermore, the mineralized area has been extended deeper by an additional 150 meters vertically, adding considerable scope to the project.

Ground-based geophysical studies are currently in progress at the Lion Zone. These include gravity and electromagnetic (EM) surveys, which aim to identify new exploration targets. Results from these surveys are anticipated to guide the resumption of drilling activities, scheduled to take place by mid-October.

The company's leadership emphasized the significance of the current progress, describing the Lion Zone as a growing polymetallic discovery of substantial importance. The exploration work undertaken during the summer season has laid the groundwork for a major winter drill program. The forthcoming winter program is fully financed and aims to cover 30,000 meters of drilling, targeting further expansion of the Lion Zone as well as the discovery of new mineral-rich zones within the Nisk property.

Currently, the Lion Zone's footprint measures approximately 350 meters laterally and 450 meters vertically. This significant area of mineralization positions Power Nickel to further explore the project's geological potential, with ongoing studies expected to provide additional insights and direction for future drilling efforts.

The results from these drilling activities reflect the project's importance in the mining sector, particularly in terms of polymetallic resource development. With continuous work underway, the company remains focused on uncovering more high-grade mineralized zones.
