Millennial Potash Corp recently announced that the President of Gabon, Brice Oligui Nguema, has reiterated his support for the company's Banio Potash Project. This affirmation follows his visit to Mayumba and Ndindi, key locations within the project's area.
The company’s Gabonese subsidiary, Mayumba Potasse SARL, delivered a comprehensive presentation detailing the outcomes of its recent Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). This assessment underscores the project's anticipated production timeline and overall feasibility.
During his visit, President Nguema was presented with a segment of potash-rich drill core from the Banio Potash Project. This gesture highlighted the tangible progress and the project's potential in the potash sector.
Furthermore, the President committed to collaborating closely with Millennial Potash Corp to facilitate essential processes, including permitting, regional development, and infrastructure enhancements. Notable plans include the modernization of the power grid, the development of a deep-water port, and improvements to local road networks.
In addition to infrastructure upgrades, the regional development strategy encompasses the construction of new educational and health facilities. Plans include the establishment of new schools, a university, and a modern hospital in Mayumba, all aimed at bolstering the community’s overall well-being and development.
This support from the Gabonese government is a significant development for Millennial Potash Corp, reflecting both the project's strategic importance and the collaborative efforts necessary to advance its progress.
