Endeavour Mining PLC, in Metal & Mining Sector has announced the commencement of commercial production at two significant projects: the Sabodala-Massawa BIOX Expansion in Senegal and the Lafigué mine in Côte d'Ivoire. Both projects have reached this milestone on schedule and within budget, marking an important advancement in the company’s growth trajectory.

Operational Highlights

The BIOX Expansion, an extension of the Sabodala-Massawa mine, has achieved an impressive 94% plant availability. During July and August 2024, the facility operated at 80% of its nameplate capacity, with iodine recoveries exceeding 72%. This strong performance underscores the project's efficiency and its pivotal role in the company’s production lineup.

Similarly, the Lafigué mine has demonstrated robust operational metrics, with 87% plant availability and operating at 72% of nameplate capacity in August 2024. The mine has achieved a gold recovery rate of 95%, further contributing to the company's overall production targets.

Future Outlook and Financial Guidance

Endeavour Mining Plc (OTC:EDVMF) has confirmed that it remains on track to meet its full-year production guidance. All-in sustaining costs (AISC) are expected to approach the upper end of the previously communicated range. The successful ramp-up of these projects is anticipated to drive stronger operating performance in the latter half of the year.

Strategic Developments

Chief Executive Ian Cockerill emphasized that the successful commissioning of these projects represents a significant milestone for the company. The transition to a phase focused on free cash flow generation is expected to enhance shareholder returns. Cockerill highlighted that these projects will not only strengthen operational performance but also contribute to extending mine life and diversifying the company’s portfolio geographically.

Looking ahead, Endeavour Mining is preparing to focus on asset-level optimization and technical studies in anticipation of its next growth phase. This includes plans for the potential development of the Assafou project, projected to commence construction in 2026.

The achievement of commercial production at both the Sabodala-Massawa BIOX Expansion and the Lafigué mine underscores Endeavour Mining’s commitment to advancing its growth strategy and operational efficiency. The successful execution of these projects reflects positively on the company's ability to meet its production targets and enhance its market position.
